IoT | Internet of Things (.io)
It is a simple connectivity of hardware and software. Hardware likes microcontrollers, sensors, GSM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and many other modules, on the other hand software like similar to ‘C’ and ‘C++’ which controls and gives data by processing.
Actual process:
Data collected through sensors -> Goes to the server in IoT platforms -> Devices connected to platforms like computer or smartphones.
And it goes vice versa when a command is given the devices
like smartphones at the other end it may connected like light, fan, and
sensors, it can be controlled like switching on or off may controlling the
voltage levels.
Online platforms
There are many apps and online websites are available which
will help to get the readings.
Many options are available in the apps like controller
through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. IoT is effective is depends on where you use and how
do you use in such manner IoT is a biggest leading technology.
Simple steps of IoT
·
Register your account in IoT Platforms
·
Connect your project (Hardware components)
·
Connect the project to output device (i.e., smartphone
or computer)
·
Then your project works
Basic projects using IoT are (DIY):
· Switching of light on and off
· Thief detector
· Water level of tank
· Security alarm
· Fire alarm
· Bluetooth control car
· Drones
· Weather station
· Speed detector and etc.
Applications:
IoT applications are endless. It depends where you use like
smart home, smart city, and smart vehicle. They are huge field IoT in Industry,
HealthCare, Agriculture, Energy saving, Environmental monitoring, Transportation
even in IPL (Smart Stumps).

Why it is famous?
In recent days 4G and smartphones are easier to access. And
ease of access, timing saving, and more efficient, portable sources. Moreover
everyone owns a smartphone and everyone adapting to easier one is human nature.
